"O ultimo grande herói foi morto com uma facada nas costas!"
Great, its highly appreciated!
As it has not been played before, I am not completely sure about the playing time - it also depends on how it is played - but lets say that you can stop after an hour if you are fed up! I expect that maybe with explaining the rules (which are simple), not knowing what to do, etc, it could take a bit longer the first time. But all this is exactly to see what can be changed or improved, so if its too long, we cut a round or two.
Cheers,
Rasmus
PS, I could in principle send the rules to each of you, but dont really know where to send them.
Don’t worry about the rules, you’ll explain at the spot . At what time do you arrive?
...have....hu-hum...never been to a monthly meeting before, so I dont know what would suit you guys best. If you have a preferred time, just let me know, and I will be there.

Welcome
We will be there between 2PM and 9PM (maybe 12,1AM). Tell us an aproximated hour so we can schedule our rest of the time...
If you don't know that , no problem : the worst that can happen is for you to wait 90 minutes, and play something else first

to those of you took the time to try out Outbreak.
I think it went well, even though there were some things that did not work so well.
I have now tried to incorporate as many of your suggestions as I thought possible; if you still remember:
All labs now get 1$ per active disease, div by 2 (FRU), and labs that have a Scientist in the Field, gets 2$ for each. In this way, the more that happens, the more you can do.
Drawn Scientists still go into the Conference Box, but the player drawing it, gets a chance to 'buy' the Scientist first. Labs that are behind first bet for remaining scientists - this balances things out. Also, when Scientists are replaced in a lab, the replaced one is not discarded, but go into the Conference Box, where other labs might pick it up later.
There are now two cards per disease, so two of the same disease card makes it an Outbreak. So, there are no more rolling to see if diseases breakout, but still rolls to see if Eradicated diseases come back - this is necessary to keep up the uncertainty, and is much fewer die rolls than before.
All Outbreaks must be voted for - this was another good suggestion - otherwise a Chairman might relatively easy stop the game for everyone.
Scientists are no longer put on the disease card automatically when elected. Instead, the Eradication roll, by the scientist is done immediately, to see whether he cures the disease. If he succeeds the card is flipped down with the gained Influence on top, and can not be used for the remainder of the Crisis Meeting. Only if (s)he fails, is the card placed on the Disease card(s), to be rolled for again in the beginning of next Crisis Meeting. So, there is no longer a Field Work Phase. The major difference is that you will see how each Scientist performs, before selecting more, so it if less likely that you get surprised by Outbreaks.
Now that all have more money, the price for a vote remains 3$ and for a Skill point 5$.
All in all, the game is far more balanced, the players can use their money for more, and it is slightly less likely to lose to Outbreaks, but it is still very possible.
Again, thanks a bunch to all,
Rasmus
