Eu não sou muito de wargames, principalmente porque não tenho tempo para os jogar, mas podes contar comigo para esse playtesting de 1866 - The Struggle for Supremacy in Germany.
"the drunks of the Red-Piss Legion refuse to be vanquished"
Right here and now I cannot point out a specific rule that I find partial.
However, I read the rules here over the weekend, and had many problems with lack of clarification and/or examples for combat.
I can think of many situations where it is not clear for me how/what to do in Shock Combat.
Looking at the BGG and CSW forums, I got the impression that it is not just me that have these problems.
There are also really simple problems, such as the Seriugehara (not correct spelled) battle, where the So-Tashi starts off the board - what is, and can be activated, and when?

I think I saw the aswer to that somewhere. I believe the so-taisho is considered always activated while out of the map. After he enters the battlefield, the remaining units (if they happen to exist) are considered out-of-command.

I'll try to find that out when I get home.

But, the non-So-Taisho contingents are also out-of-command as long as the So-Taisho is off the board, right?
Meaning that the non-So-Taisho contingents can only be activated by enemy action (2-hex distance) or Trump, and onlt normally when the So-Taisho is on the board. Right?

From what I read at the time, I think that's the case, yes. That battle seemed really hard for the Ashina to win, but that actually happened in our play.
You're welcome, feel free to ask and I'll help out (if I can)
