OK, lá fui por curiosidade ver o que raio é o L5R (tem um fórum aqui e tudo - sinto-me ignorante :P) e já percebo o que fiz 
O jogo por acaso não será inspirado no Book of Five Rings do Musashi?

E para os lados do Oriente as coincidências sempre foram muito mal vistas…
Sim, o jogo tira grande parte da sua inspiração dessa obra japonesa. O ambiente é uma mistura de todas as culturas e povos orientais (os de ‘olhos em bico’) e o resultado está muito bom. O império de Rokugan está divido em territórios controlados por 8 clans maiores diferentes, cada um com a sua mentalidade e habilidade únicas.
O CCG tem bastantes adeptos em Portugal, por isso a existência de um forúm. Não é simples mas uma vez aprendido e assimilado torna-se viciante! E tem na minha opinião uma das melhores comunidades de jogadores do país 
O RPG está igualmente excelente (versão d10, porque a versão d20 é como tudo o resto de d20), muito completo em todos os campos, e retrata fielmente o ambiente vivido em Rokugan, onde todas as histórias se passam.
Er… O que eu perguntei foi se o jogo foi buscar os conceitos do livro - se traduz os três métodos, as cinco atitudes, etc., nas regras de combate p ex; ou se foi só buscar o nome ao livro pelo estilo - foi escrito por um Samurai e isso é mm fixe 
Digo isto porque eu tenho algum interesse se as regras reflectirem uma aproximação Japonesa ao combate, magia Chinesa, essas coisas

Eu pelo menos não sei tanto! Sei que tem algo a ver com o dito livro, que há um jogo com cartas associado e que costuma ser cá em casa ao Sábado à noite. Eu faço o chá e o (meu) JP o café. Beijinhos pra ti.
Quando digo que foi buscar grande parte da inspiração ao livro é porque sim, reflecte as 5 atitudes (Àgua, Ar, Fogo, Terra, e Vazio) e concerteza que também os 3 métodos. O nome do/dos jogos vem exactamente por homenagem ao Miyamoto Musashi, e incorpora muitos senão a totalidade dos seus ensinamentos.
No RPG as pontuações das personagens dependem dos elementos, no CCG ganhas quando tens em jogo as 5 cartas representativas dos 5 anéis.
O jogo mistura o folclore oriental dos povos, e como tal é claro que reflecte as tácticas/combate/magia de lá. Se és fã de todo o ambiente oriental, aconselho-te este jogo vivamente (quer gostes de RPG, CCG ou miniaturas, se bem que estas últimas são mais dificeis de arranjar)
Mto fixe, fiquei interessado! E percebo pq é q dizes q a versão d20 é pior q a d10, suponho q os Five Rings tenham ido pró badagaio
