| mnvalente | 9.0 | Colecção | A bit long, but worth every moment. It feels unbalanced, the Scottish seem stronger. But have only played it 5 or 6 times. |
| hsquid | 9.0 | Colecção | This one gave me my first nights of strategy-dreams. It's simple, intuitive and involving. |

| haroldun | 8.0 | Colecção | A simple, fast and really enjoyable block wargame. |

| hmocc | 6.0 | 1st Play: Massacred by Jim Wallace Marshall. Bad decisions aided by a few unsympathetic dice rolls predicted my impeding doom. Nevertheless the game was quite enjoyable and I assume that a newb like me playing a seasoned veteran like Jim would always get mashed into purée. I hope I give a better reply next time. | |
| soledade | - | Colecção | 04/05/08 - after 3 plays: There's something strange about this game. It has everything I don't like: Randomness, hidden information, direct interaction (attack) and the theme is not that great. I don't even know why I bought it, but I'm glad I did because it's very fun to play and the all package is very atractive and streamlined. Usually I don't like dice and I still get very, very angry when they don't help me at all but among all the games I've played so far, I guess the average is fair enough to think that winning Hammer of the Scots could be done without being the most lucky guy. I also like the surprise ending of an year. That's very cool because it adds caos in a very controled way. I mean we all know that it could happen at any time if you play an event card! |

| costa | - | Needs more play. | |
| shiva_skunk | - | Although it's a historical wargame, the rules are easily understood by a eurogamer like myself. Plays in a decent time (2 hours tops) and has some element surprise due to the FOW. | |

| Drzodiacus | - | Colecção | Based upon a single play. Just loved it. However I had a blitzkrieg victory (1 1/2 year), so a deeper analisys is required update: played several times now! Still is one of my favorites! |

| ricmadeira | - | Colecção | Woohaa! I can only wish all my next wargames will be as fun to learn and play like this one! Low unit count, real fog of war, few and simple mechanics yet so much depth and theme. The playing is totally assimetrical for each side and yet balanced. It's just fun, fun, fun. The time just flies away! The more I play it, the more I love it. Second Edition. |
| MrSmith | - | Colecção | Brilliant, specially the nobles changing sides. Simples rules after the first game. PROS: strong interaction (wargame) great theme not too much complexity/thinking CONS: a bit complex, the first time 3 to 4 hours The only 2-player game i might prefer to play over most multiplayer games |
