| pitris | 9.0 | Colecção | In the words of the immortal Bartholomew J. Simpson: ai caramba! The tension reminds me of Age of Steam pre-breakeven times 20! This is a complex economy building game, with lots of resources and buildings to manage. This is also one of the first worker placement games... and a very unique one! The idea is to have the players build a very complex economic engine as efficiently as possible while trying to fight famine and pollution at the same time. There are a lot of resources to manage and a lot of options to use them. This is a really heavy game. The player interaction is small in the beginning, but grows as the game progresses and players start to fight for territory and resources. Luck is almost non existent. The only complaint I have is that the game is fiddly, with a lot of small moving parts and very, very expensive. But if you can cope with that, this is an awesome experience which I heartedly recommend! |

I think the game is very good but I don't like playing it that much.So this rate is for the game itself and not based on the BGG rating system. edit #1: I prefer the 2 player version. It's much better. edit #2: Played several times more with 2 players it completely grabed my attention. Very good game. It's a bit too fiddly though. |

| pedrolisboa | - | Colecção | One play only. I was furiously looking forward to trying this out, thinking it would be right up my alley, and was quite disappointed. I like slow games, but this seems one seems to drag on forever before you manage to do something. Everything feels very automated. There are some points working for it, though, and I hope to come back to it soon and change my opinion (and rating). |

The more I play it the more I love it, I've been trying the different victory conditions and man, I think they all work. This is a masterpiece. - Several components are badly printed, which is unacceptable on an expensive game. It is also likely that one or two bad decisions completely eliminate a player, making this 3/4 hours game a scary one. NEVER EVER GET IN A SITUATION WHERE YOU HAVE NO WAY OF GETTING WOOD. No, I don't think this (or any) game is worth 150-250 dollars. |
