| pitris | 9.5 | Colecção | I liked it when I first played it. After 5 plays I thought it was very good. After 40 plays both online and face to face, I think it's great! It aged really well. The game is very clever: the choices are constrained by the game itself (the available districts), by luck (the cards that are drawn) and by the other players (the cards that are passed around). Players need to have a long term strategy but also adapt constantly to the situation. There's a definite learning curve, because knowledge of the bribable characters is paramount. It's also a pretty fast affair and scales very well from 2 to 5. Player interaction is low and subtle, but that is actually a plus for me. |

| soledade | - | Colecção | It's a Stefan Feld game but has W. Kramer all over it. It's elegant, simple to play and not very confrontational. The major problem is that it has almost none interaction. Besides Notre Dame (at the end of each turn) and the bonus chits, it's very dry of interaction, and even these ones are a bit punched to fit. edit #1 After playing it a couple times more I now think that it is a much more interactive game than it seems at first. Very well designed and one of the best games from 2007. |
