| soledade | - | Colecção | 25/07/08 Played with 4 players It didn't grab me that much. I've found it maybe too much easy for players who don't take risks but this is not a final opinion. I have to play it again to see if I like it better the next time. It's challenging and the mechanics (once more) are clever. It could be a good game to introduce people into boardgames. 27/07/08 Played with 3 players. It's not very different although I think it's better with 4. Still have the same opinion: the game rewards players that don't take risks and I'm not sure I like that in a Wallace game! After playing this game a few more times I really don't like it very much. It has something that i don't like and I'm not aware of what it is. It could be the randomness in some aspects of the game that destroys strategies when the game seems to be strategical or it could even be the lack of patience for the repetitive decisions. It only takes four turns which is good. It could be played in the 60 minutes range but it constantly drags a bit more in my group I'm not sure why. The dependence on some dice results really really bugs me enough for not having much fun playing it. Plus, after enough plays I still don't get the VP chart. I really don't! It is one of the most beautiful games I own. The board is absolutely gorgeous and the front cover (Treefrog Edition) is amazing! |
