| pitris | 8.0 | Colecção | Very unique game. It's a party game for the sophisticated urban elite. Players take turns as the storyteller. The storyteller plays a hidden card and says a sentence. All the other players must then play a card that matches the sentence. All the cards are revealed and everybody will try to guess which card was played by the storyteller. The trick is that points are awarded only if some players guess it right and some guess it wrong, making the storyteller's job much harder. None of this would work, of course, without the stunning art in the cards, by Marie Cardouat.It's almost worth it to buy the game for the art alone. |

| Pedrator | - | Colecção | Beautiful game. It's much more fun then it might look at first, and the cute bunnies might scare older players off. But once people try it out, it's just too good to put it pack after the first round, and you immediatly want to play it again. Although 84 cards looks like much, you soon get to know them and if you play with the same players you'll have to get REAL creative very soon. A very nice one! |

I guess Dixit could actually work better if you know who you're playing with but it still works pretty well with foreigners. Liked it a lot. Playable in all languages! It needs expansions because if players most of the time are the same, which is more than normal as in a gaming group, a good bunch of pictures become obsolete and the re-playability suffers from that. Some of the drawings are ambiguous enough to allow some creativity when picking something to say while others are more obvious and players tend to think on them always in the same manner. A good idea is to choose a theme to go for and try it but then again players should not exaggerate on creativity because that makes the game almost unplayable. I like to play Dixit with the certain amount of creativity and realism, sort of speaking. |
