| soledade | - | Colecção Para Troca | I only rate it an 8 because it takes too long to play and if you don't run any company it has too much downtime, especially when there are 2/3 operation rounds before each stock round. Considering the economic simulation and how everything works together in 1830 this is far better than just an 8. I could probably (maybe even should) rate it better than this but the ratio fun/time of play, which is by far the most important thing a game can have, is not very positive. I would like to play this game now and then, maybe a couple of times a year but I think it will be very difficult to convince my gaming friends to do it. The sad thing is that I'm sure that everybody, with a couple of games more, would like this game a lot! My gaming group is not very fancy about 18xx games and that doesn't help me playing this kind of games more often. I wish I had that possibility. The thing is that this is a very particular type of game with a unique brilliant economic engine. This engine works perfectly no matter how players play and that's why is so common to newbie players get bankrupt. This is a gamers game and without any doubt one of the greatest games of all time! |
