Really shines with the full compliment of 5 players, but it's also a very good game with 4. Never played with 3 or tried the official variant for 2, but I think it will be a very different game. In Princes of Florence you really need to have a long term strategy and you really need to be able to adapt it as you go along. I really don't understand the complaints about the lack of player interaction. |

PORTUGUÊS: O jogo começa por ter um tema muito bonito - ser o Príncipe de Florença promovendo cultura. Gosto da produção, a mecânica é muito simples de entender embora seja um jogo difícil de vencer. Muito equilibrado em todas as suas componentes. O leilão e a escassez de alguns recursos valorizam a interactividade entre os jogadores, embora este não seja propriamente um trunfo do jogo. Se tivesse uma maior interactividade seria um jogaço! Despite the aging PoF still is one of my first picks when thinking about a 5 player game. I really loved the game from the first time I've played it. The theme made things easier to me although in the end this is an abstract game. No matter what I think PoF is one hell of a game, medium weight, good to introduce to newbies but also appreciated by gamers and above all of this is a very elegant game with few but strong and very well combined mechanisms. A must have in any collection. Played again after several months/years and still like it. A classic. I understand that some of the mechanisms may seem a bit old and dated but I really still enjoy to play it. There are no secrets in the strategy anymore but an occasional play is the solution. |
