| hmocc | 8.0 | Rating after first play. Played AGoT for the 1st time yesterday, with the 6 player extension Clash of Kings. At first everything is a bit confusing and you really don't know what you're supposed to be doing. Formed an alliance with 3 other players, more out of their own initiative than mine, but in the end it almost paid off. Speaking of the end, only by turns 7-8 did I get into the game and started enjoying it. Game flow is uncomplicated and surprisingly elegant. The haphazard alliances and politics work and you can break them at any time and stab anyone on the back. The game has, however, a strong gang-on-the-leader tendency, which in itself suits the theme and gameplay. Bold Risk-type wave-conquering is possible but not advisable, especially at the end, where a consolidated realm will prove more efficient against predatory conquerors than joining the merry-go-round of you take this and I take that. | |

| pitris | 6.0 | A build up and fight game with George R. R. Martin's novels as the background. There are some clever ideas here and some less inspired stuff. Mustering and supply are too important to be unpredictable, for instance. And the game lasts a little longer than it should, in my opinion. But it's still a good game and a must have for those who read and enjoyed the novels. | |

| Pedrator | - | Colecção | Bad things first: One thing I noticed immediately: I got very mixed feelings on the game components! Board and cards are supperb! Cardboard (all the counters) are of underaverage quality, they're not as compressed as the ones made for generally any german publisher, as well as the wood, it's not as good in quality as the german pieces, the wood is of inferior quality and not as polished as for the games published by german companies. Also, the action counters (move, defend, support, etc) share all the same back for each house (the house crest), but they have been printed on one stance on the front side, and some counters from the same house have been printed on the reverse side, this means that if players actually pay attention to detail, they can guess pretty good which actions that particular player is going to use during a turn... most importantly: where!!! That was quite a no no in my book of perfection! As for the game per se, I had a go on a 3-player game and now one more on a 4-player game. You can get a much better idea of what the game is about, but still! This is a 5-player game! The problem with less then 5 players is that there is at least one faction that is going to benefit from the absence of any of the other elements! This gives some advantage. Still! Lved the tension the game mechanics create. There are very limited resources (meaning especially the planing chips) You look at the board and see dozens of possible options, but know that your action counters are not going to let you do them all, so decision making is very painfull. In that regard I loved the game. Nevertheless, I will play it two or three more times (after all the rules are settled) before giving a definit score. |

| ricmadeira | - | Colecção Para Troca | After one play, I liked this a whole lot. The rules are simple, but very engaging. Our game took a bit too long and that put off some of my fellow boardgamers, but I think that after a few plays to get the hang of it, the game length will be just right for me. Opened, but never played. |
| Drzodiacus | - | Overall good game, but with a low fun/time ratio... Would give a 8.5 if it was shorter | |

| MrSmith | - | Colecção | One of the great multiplayer wargames with simple rules. Just the kind of game i like. War, good theme, influence and managment of (few in here) resources. Playable in 2 to 4 hours, if you consider it a wargame and don't spend your time negociating alliances. 2008: Just finished reading the books published to date. Great adaptation of the theme! |
| DalimThor | - | Colecção | Great game just a shame the Lannister always seems like a struggle to survive let alone try and win. |
