| pitris | 9.5 | Colecção | I'm completely blown away! Simply put, this is one of the finest economy building games out there! There are lot of variables to juggle and a huge amount of options to ponder every single turn. Build farms, explore mines, discover new technologies, send your armies to crush your foes and impress the world by building amazing wonders! And in the end the strongest culture will prevail. Some components are flawed, the cards are not very good... but who cares? The gaming experience makes up for all of that and more! This has a real good chance of being my game of the year for 2007, beating even Race for the galaxy! That's no small feat! |

Played once, 3 player game, all new to it. The game doesn't have a map, but, uou get the feeling of growing a Civilization, it has a lot of details and a experienced player was supervising our play, without him would have been harder. It's a great game, no doubt about it. With more plays, my rating will go up, I'm sure of that. |

| newrev | 8.0 | Colecção | 17/02/08 Just played 2 player simple game last night. I had a Very good first impressions. It seems to be a really great game. I hope to play the advance and full game very soon. Probably this rating will raise to a 9. 21/02/08Ok, this time i played all the way trough. The game is colossal, difficult but very balanced, with many paths to victory and a million things to do in your turn. This is a great great game. So instead of a 9 I had rise it to a 10. For some people, the long time that it takes to play (4 hours) is a problem, but not for me, so i rate it a 10. Friday i will play the full game again with 4 players. Let's see if that 10 will stand or fall. 23/02/2008 Still a 10. One of this days, I promise that I will learn how to play this game. :)Magnificent. 29/02/2008 Another great session, but this time I had to put down my rate to a 8.5 due the following things: 1-To many downtime when someone reach the 8 or 9 civil actions per turn. 2-A very solitary game. 3-After 4 games, the end was the same again. The last war is to powerful. |

Cada jogador constrói e monta uma série de edifícios e unidade para constituir sua civilização. No decorrer do jogo melhoramos essas construções e unidades. O jogo é bem interessante e legal. O único problema é o tempo de jogo. Muito demorado. Essa partida, em 4 pessoas, levou 7 horas. Não me arrependi mas não sei quando terei tempo para jogá-lo novamente. Vale apena conhecer. | |

It feels a bit too spreadsheet-ish and over fiddly but that may be due to this being our first game. Also I was expecting a map. Silly me. | |

| soledade | - | Colecção | 3/03/08 Played with 3 players a short version: I have to play it again but I think this game has a serious downtime problem. 10/03/08 Played it again with 3 players an advanced game: Lots of downtime and I didn't like the agressions. They seem too much powerful. 18/03/08 Played with 2 the full game. The downtime is better with 2 players. I still think that although the rules say that this is not about conquering and beating and fighting, agression cards, events, colonies, wars are maybe too much powerfull to make such a statement. I know that this is a culture game, not military, but if you have a military force superior to your oponnent you may easily win. I don't like that in Through the Ages. |
