Ganging up with up to 4 teammates to stop diseases from spreading and researching cures for them will ensure that you'll be playing three or four games in a row. Game mechanics are simple and straightforward yet challenging as you and your teammates always have a clear perspective that, if you make a mistake, you will be in a run for a lost game. With each game lasting for 40 minutes tops, you really do feel the urge to just start again and teach a lesson to those rotten diseases. |

I think Ghost Stories is the deeper and more interesting game, but this is much better suited to play with non gamers, and it's a really good game also. Really, really like the outbreak mechanic. Play with hidden hands, allow for suggestions of other players but leave the final decision of action to the active player. The game is quite unforgiving and really hard. It mostly comes down to how the two decks are stacked, but who cares as long as the game is such fun? |

I hope that when I do I still find the game challenging enough to like. 21/07/08 The game is becoming easier play after play but I still didn't try it with the 6 epidemic cards. The luck involved could be important to win the game or not. Some cycles of cards could be crucial to determine if there's a winner or not. As I expected Pandemic turned out to be less fun with time. It's still a good catch for newbies though and that's something I have to underline here. My wife started to like/play games after Pandemic. |
