| pitris | 8.0 | This was a nice surprise! I own and love CC:ancients, but I had always dismissed memoir 44 as the simpler random version of the system. Nothing could be further from the truth! Memoir is just different! Terrain is much more important, spreading and quick moving is essential as opposed to maneuvering and line formations, and saving the good cards for the right moments is crucial. In the end I still prefer CC: ancients, but I enjoyed this a lot and I maybe even end up buying it. | |

| Mallgur | - | Colecção | Great game. Quick and fun with excellent production value. In spite of the simple mechanics it does manage to convey the tense atmosphere of battle. It might very well be the best possible introduction to war gaming. It can also work as a history study tool because of the historical scenarios of the battles. |
